His Path to Chiropractic
Dr. Saunders grew up in Warner Robins, Georgia, and moved to Clemmons, North Carolina, at age nine when his mother’s position at Reynolds American relocated the family. After graduating from West Forsyth High School, he attended Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, to continue his soccer career.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine in 2018 and later received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Life University in March 2022.
Reflecting on his journey, Dr. Saunders shares:
“When I began undergraduate studies, I planned to become a dentist, recognizing that my soccer career would not last forever. During my second season, I developed bilateral sports inguinal hernias that changed that path. With more than 300 hours of dental shadowing completed by my sophomore year, I met Dr. Brittian during winter break in 2016. After I described my injury, recovery, and career plans, he handed me a business card and invited me to shadow him the next day. I had received chiropractic care for a groin injury in high school, but my understanding of the profession was limited until then.
That experience at Brittian Chiropractic led me to forgo the DAT for dental school and apply to Life University during my junior year. I have since developed a deep passion for helping people achieve greater wellness. Through chiropractic care, movement rehabilitation, and nutrition, I aim to partner with each patient to help them reach their optimal potential.”
Dr. Saunders joined the Charlotte community in 2023 when he opened the doors of Brittian Chiropractic Charlotte with his business partner and mentor, Dr. Brittian. Since then, he has helped thousands of families across Mecklenburg County improve their health and quality of life. He brings a personal understanding of athletic injury recovery together with advanced clinical training and is committed to thorough, individualized care that addresses root causes and supports long-term wellness. Animal Chiropractic
Dr. Saunders also holds animal chiropractic certification through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA), qualifying him to treat horses, dogs, cats, and other animals.
